In November 2020, Peter Adler, Robert Van Howe, Travis Wisdom, and Felix Daase published an article, “Is Circumcision a Fraud?,” in the Cornell Journal of Law and Public Policy.
DOC is now pleased to announce that Peter Adler, law professor at the University of Massachusetts, has turned the article into a book entitled “Circumcision is a Fraud: And the Coming Legal Reckoning,” available on Amazon. It has already been listed among the top new releases on Amazon in Pediatrics, Child Advocacy Law, Health Law, Medical Law and Legislation, Reproductive Medicine and Technology, and Social Theory.
The book argues that circumcision or male genital cutting is a complex 150-year-old multibillion-dollar fraud. Through various forms of unfair and deceptive practices, physicians take the foreskin that males value and have the right to keep, and thereby enrich themselves, in violation of the law and the Hippocratic Oath, “First, Do No Harm.” The book suggests that circumcised boys, men, and their parents have several types of legal claims against physicians and hospitals; that, except for intentional fraud claims, they have the right to prevail on all of these claims without a trial; and that the statute of limitations on their fraud claims begins to run upon discovery of the fraud.
This thought-provoking new book is available in paperback for $14.95 and, for a short time, as a digital book for only $2.99. The author would appreciate your comments about the book on Amazon. And please share with other people who might be interested in the topic.
